Alloway, Salem County
Alloway Township covers about 34 square miles in the middle of Salem County. It borders Mannington, Pilesgrove, Quinton, and Upper Pittsgrove townships, and Hopewell, Stow Creek, and Upper Deerfield across the Cumberland County line. County Routes 540 and 581 cross the township, and Route 77 clips its far eastern corner. About 3,300 people live here, centered on Alloway village, with smaller settlements such as Aldine, Friesburg, Lake Sycamore, Penton, and Remsterville spread across open country.
In 1737 Caspar Wistar began building the Wistarburgh Glass Works here, described as the first successful glass factory in the Thirteen Colonies. In 1793 the property was divided among the family's heirs and sold in parcels. Inherited property still raises the same question today: several heirs, one house. We buy inherited houses as-is and work with the executor and the estate attorney on timing.
Two Alloway Township homes, the Dickinson House and the Philip Fries House, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Older rural houses often come with aging roofs, wiring, and heating systems that a financed buyer's inspector will write up. We buy older houses in the condition they are in, so you do not have to work through a repair list first.
The township has fewer than 100 residents per square mile and roughly 80 miles of roads, most maintained by Salem County. On rural lots, a retail sale can hinge on a septic system or private well passing inspection. If your property has either, we buy it without making the sale depend on those tests or on repairs.

Questions from Alloway sellers
In many cases, yes. We buy inherited houses for cash and coordinate with the executor and the estate attorney, so the closing happens once the executor has authority to sign.
Yes. We buy houses anywhere in Alloway Township, not just in the village, and we pay cash for the property as it stands.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
