Blairstown, Warren County
Blairstown is a township of about 5,700 residents (2020) in the Kittatinny Valley of northern Warren County, bordered by Frelinghuysen, Hardwick, Hope, and Knowlton. Route 94 runs through its center, County Route 521 crosses the east side, and Interstate 80 passes through the south without an exit. The Paulins Kill flows through town, and the township spreads across nearly 31 square miles that include the village center and localities such as Cedar Lake, Blair Lake, Lake Susquehanna, Jacksonburg, and Walnut Valley. Blair Academy, a boarding school founded in 1848, is here.
The Blairstown Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, and the village includes landmarks like Roy's Hall, a 1913 movie house restored in 2005, and Blair Academy's Old Academy Building. Older village homes can come with dated systems that inspectors flag. We buy homes in and around the village as-is, so there is nothing to fix before selling.
Blairstown is the second-largest municipality in Warren County by area, with about 2,270 housing units spread over roughly 31 square miles in 2010. Much of it is rural, and rural properties often bring well, septic, and outbuilding questions into a retail sale. We buy the house and land together for cash and take those questions on ourselves.
The town is named for railroad investor John Insley Blair and was earlier known as Smith's Mill, Butts Bridge, and Gravel Hill. Today the 26-mile Paulinskill Valley Trail follows a former rail corridor through the area. If you own an older house near the village, the trail, or one of the lakes, we can buy it as it is, with no repairs required.

Yes. We buy inherited properties with the contents included and take care of clearing the house and outbuildings after closing.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
