Hampton, Hunterdon County
Hampton is a borough of about 1.5 square miles on the banks of the Musconetcong River, across from Washington Township in Warren County. It also borders Bethlehem Township, Glen Gardner, and Lebanon Township, and Route 31 is its main highway. Incorporated in 1895 as Junction Borough from parts of Lebanon and Bethlehem townships, it took the name Hampton in 1909. The borough had 1,438 residents in 2020 and 612 housing units in 2010.
Hampton sits on the Musconetcong River, which forms the county line with Warren. Houses near the river can face flood-zone determinations that affect both insurance and mortgage approval. Our cash purchase requires neither, so a flood map question does not stop the sale.
The Highlands Council places about 835 of Hampton's 971 acres in the Preservation Area and 136 in the Planning Area, and lists the borough as not conforming to the regional master plan. Buyers planning work on a lot may need to sort out which rules apply. We do not make the sale depend on that.
Hampton had about 400 housing units per square mile in 2010, a small, built-up borough among rural townships, and it maintains about 6.6 miles of its own roads. In 1931 it annexed land from Glen Gardner and Bethlehem. If your house needs updating or a clean-out, we buy it as-is and close when you are ready.

Questions from Hampton sellers
Yes. Hampton was incorporated as Junction Borough in 1895 and renamed in 1909, so older documents may use the original name. We buy Hampton houses and handle the title history at closing.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
