High Bridge, Hunterdon County
High Bridge is a borough of about 2.4 square miles on the South Branch of the Raritan River, bordered by Clinton Township and Lebanon Township. It grew around one of the first ironworks in the United States, later known as Taylor-Wharton, and is the western end of NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line. The Columbia Trail begins in the center of town. The borough had 3,546 residents and about 1,520 housing units in the 2020 census.
William Allen and Joseph Turner started an ironworks here in the 1740s, with Solitude House as the center of the iron plantation; it later became Taylor Iron and Steel, known as Taylor-Wharton. If your house in this old industrial town needs work, we buy it as-is, with no repairs or inspections to negotiate.
The 1909 Lake Solitude Dam on the South Branch is the last remaining buttress dam in New Jersey. Houses near the river and the lake can bring flood-zone questions for a buyer's lender. We buy for cash, so no lender sign-off is needed to close.
High Bridge has been the western terminus of the Raritan Valley Line since 1983, with limited weekday service and none on weekends. The 2020 census counted a 6.1% rental vacancy rate. If you own a rental near the station or elsewhere in town, we can buy it with tenants in place.

Questions from High Bridge sellers
No. The Highlands Council lists all 1,555 acres of High Bridge in the Planning Area. Either way, our cash offer is based on the house as it is.
Yes. We buy homes throughout the borough, near the station, the Columbia Trail, or Lake Solitude, and pay cash as-is.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
