Long Hill, Morris County
Long Hill Township is a township of about 8,600 residents in southern Morris County, bounded on the south and west by the Passaic River and on the north by the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. It borders Chatham Township and Harding, plus Bernards, Warren, and Berkeley Heights. Its villages include Stirling, Millington, Gillette, Meyersville, and Homestead Park, a subdivision first developed in the 1920s.
The township was incorporated in 1866 as Passaic Township and renamed Long Hill in 1992, largely to avoid confusion with the City of Passaic. Older deeds, mortgages, and surveys may still say Passaic Township. We review the title history so the old name doesn't hold up your closing.
The Passaic River forms the township's southern and western boundary, and the 7,455-acre Great Swamp refuge borders it to the north. Homes near low ground can raise flood-zone, wetland, and drainage questions for buyers' lenders and inspectors. We buy Long Hill homes as-is, without requiring those issues to be resolved first.
NJ Transit's Gladstone Branch stops at Gillette, Millington, and Stirling, while County Routes 512 and 531 are the main roads; no state or interstate highway runs through the township. Older homes around these village centers may need updating. We buy them in their current condition and close on your schedule.

Questions from Long Hill sellers
No. Long Hill was named Passaic Township until 1992, and older documents often use that name. We handle it as part of the normal title review.
Yes. We buy Long Hill homes as-is for cash, including properties on low ground near the river or the refuge.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
