Old Bridge, Middlesex County
Old Bridge Township is a 41-square-mile township of about 67,000 people in southeastern Middlesex County, bordered by East Brunswick, Sayreville, Spotswood, and Monroe, and by Aberdeen, Matawan, Marlboro, and Manalapan in Monmouth County. Its northeast corner faces Raritan Bay. Known as Madison Township until voters renamed it in 1975, it was mostly farmland until a building boom in the 1950s and 1960s. Route 9, Route 18, and the Garden State Parkway run through, and sections include Laurence Harbor, Cheesequake, Browntown, Madison Park, and Parlin.
Laurence Harbor on Raritan Bay was laid out in bungalow-sized lots and was a beach resort from the 1920s to the 1950s. Many of those seasonal bungalows have since been updated for year-round use, and some lots were combined for larger houses. Small lots and decades of piecemeal upgrades can complicate inspections. We buy Laurence Harbor homes as-is.
Sandy's surge in 2012 destroyed parts of Old Bridge Waterfront Park, and part of the bay beach is in the Raritan Bay Slag Superfund Site. High bluffs protect most Laurence Harbor homes from flooding, but buyers still ask questions near the water. We make cash offers that do not depend on those answers.
Old Bridge grew quickly during its 1950s and 1960s building boom and the extension of Route 18, leaving thousands of homes now more than half a century old. Original roofs, oil tanks, and aging plumbing can stall a financed sale. We buy these houses in their current condition.

Questions from Old Bridge sellers
Yes. We buy bungalows and older shore-area homes in Laurence Harbor in any condition and can work with the estate on timing.
The township and the historic Old Bridge village in East Brunswick are different places, so check your tax bill. We buy in both.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
