Paulsboro, Gloucester County
Paulsboro is a borough on the Delaware River at the mouth of Mantua Creek, bordered by West Deptford, Greenwich, and East Greenwich townships. It was formed in 1904 from Greenwich Township and named for Samuel Phillip Paul, son of an early settler. Fort Billingsport, bought on July 5, 1776, is cited as the first land purchase made by the United States. The Port of Paulsboro has long handled petroleum transfers and is being redeveloped for bulk and container cargo. Route 44 runs along Broad Street downtown, and I-295 and Route 130 clip the southern tip.
On November 30, 2012, a freight train derailed on the Mantua Creek bridge and a tanker leaked vinyl chloride, forcing evacuations. Thousands of residents later sued Conrail, and a new bridge opened in 2015. If buyers still ask about it, a cash sale to us skips that conversation. We buy Paulsboro homes as-is.
Paulsboro's waterfront has long served refineries and petroleum shipping, and the port is being redeveloped for other cargo. Homes near the industrial waterfront can draw extra questions from buyers and insurers. We buy houses throughout the borough without needing a retail buyer's sign-off.
The 2020 census counted about 2,600 housing units in Paulsboro, with about 12 percent vacant and a rental vacancy rate near 10 percent. Empty or tenant-occupied homes can be hard to list. We buy Paulsboro houses vacant or with tenants in place and close on your schedule.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
