Vineland, Cumberland County
Vineland is Cumberland County's most populous municipality, about 69 square miles with roughly 60,800 residents in 2020. It borders Millville, Deerfield Township, and Maurice River Township plus towns in Atlantic, Gloucester, and Salem counties. Route 55 runs along its western edge, Route 47 (Delsea Drive) north to south, and Route 56 (Landis Avenue) east to west. Charles K. Landis founded it in 1861 on a planned grid. Its roughly 23,500 housing units range from an older core along Landis Avenue to rural stretches of farms.
Charles K. Landis laid out Vineland in the 1860s around Landis Avenue, a street about 100 feet wide, with roads crossing it at right angles. The first houses went up in 1862. Homes near the old core can be over a century old, with systems that need updating. We buy them as-is.
Vineland was once called the Egg Basket of America, and state records show nine farms preserved through the farmland program, covering about 830 acres. Rural properties may still have old poultry houses, wells, and septic systems. We buy farm properties with those buildings in place.
Vineland is one of the municipalities in the state-designated Pinelands Area. Lots inside the Pinelands boundary follow Pinelands land-use rules that can limit building or subdividing, and some buyers and builders avoid those restrictions. We buy Pinelands-area homes as they stand and factor the rules into our offer.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
