West Amwell, Hunterdon County
West Amwell Township covers about 22 square miles in southwestern Hunterdon County, with the Delaware River separating it from New Hope and Solebury in Pennsylvania. It borders Lambertville, Delaware, East Amwell, and Hopewell Township in Mercer County. The northern part lies in the Amwell Valley and the southern part in the Sourlands. Routes 29, 31, 179, and U.S. 202 pass through, and homes are spread among Mount Airy, Rocktown, Alexauken, and Linvale.
West Amwell was formed in 1846 when Amwell Township split, and Lambertville was carved from it in 1849. In 1896 it annexed parts of Delaware, East Amwell, and Raritan townships. Older surveys and deeds can reflect those changes; we sort out the title review at closing.
A Native American woodland path through the township later became part of the Old York Road, and farming has long shaped the area; in 1935 local farmers publicly opposed federal potato controls. If you are selling a farmhouse or rural property, we buy it as-is for cash.
Route 29 runs through the township's southwestern corner near the Delaware, while the south rises into the Sourlands. Properties near the river or its creeks can face flood-zone questions from a buyer's lender. With our cash purchase, there is no lender to satisfy.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
