Keyport, Monmouth County
Keyport is a waterfront borough on Raritan Bay, bordered by Union Beach, Aberdeen, and Hazlet. It was formed from Raritan Township, now Hazlet, as a town in 1870 and became a borough in 1908. Once one of the world's largest oyster suppliers and home to the Aeromarine seaplane factory, it has an older downtown near the water. Routes 35 and 36 cross the south end, Parkway Exit 117 is just outside town, and trains stop nearby at Hazlet and Aberdeen-Matawan.
Sandy left a high-water mark of 7.9 feet in Keyport in 2012. Homes near the bay and the waterfront downtown can sit in flood zones where financed buyers need flood insurance and lenders look hard at storm history. We buy Keyport homes as-is for cash, without flood-insurance approval holding up closing.
Keyport's business district was rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1877 destroyed 31 buildings, and the town grew around its oyster trade and, later, seaplane building. Older homes can have aging wiring, plumbing, or foundations that buyers' inspectors flag. We buy those houses as they stand.
Keyport had about 3,400 housing units in 2020, and nearly 39 percent of households were one person living alone. Owners of smaller homes or rentals may need a quick sale after a move or a death in the family. We buy for cash, with tenants or belongings in place, and you choose the closing date.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
