Laurel Springs, Camden County
Laurel Springs is a borough of about half a square mile and roughly 2,000 residents, bordered by Lindenwold and Stratford, with the White Horse Pike (U.S. Route 30) along its northeast side. It grew in the late 1800s as a summer destination reached by railroad from Philadelphia, drawn by Laurel Lake and the Crystal Spring, and it was carved out of Clementon Township as a borough in 1913. Walt Whitman spent summers here at the Stafford farmhouse, now the Whitman-Stafford House on Maple Avenue.
The borough was built as a planned development in the late 1800s; Sam Cord's Laurel Springs Land Co. bought Stafford Farms West in 1889 and built homes here, and many houses still have Victorian character. Homes of that age often need roof, electrical, or plumbing updates that show up on an inspection. We buy older Laurel Springs houses as they stand, with no repairs required.
Laurel Lake is fed by Big Timber Creek, and in 2026 the state and Camden County bought a 3.5-acre wooded parcel overlooking it, now the Laurel Lake Preserve, also called Whitman Woods. Houses near the lake and creek can raise questions about drainage and moisture from buyers and inspectors. We buy without inspection contingencies and take on those questions ourselves.
The 2010 census counted about 770 housing units in Laurel Springs, so only a small number of homes come up for sale in a given year. A local agent told the Inquirer in 2016 that the borough's Victorian homes do not take long to sell. If the house needs major work or is part of an estate, a cash sale lets you skip listing, showings, and buyer financing.

Questions from Laurel Springs sellers
Yes. Much of Laurel Springs was built in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and we expect older systems and deferred maintenance. We buy as-is and you can leave behind anything you do not want to take.
Some buyers and lenders ask more questions about drainage, moisture, or flood insurance near water. We buy for cash without a lender, so those questions do not hold up our closing.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
