Stratford, Camden County
Stratford is a borough of about 1.6 square miles bordered by Gloucester Township, Hi-Nella, Laurel Springs, Lindenwold, and Somerdale, with the White Horse Pike running along its Somerdale border. Settlers gathered around the White Horse Tavern in the 1740s; in the 1880s the Rural Land Improvement Company developed "Old Stratford" and named it for Stratford-upon-Avon. It became a borough in 1925. Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine has a campus on Laurel Road, and the 2020 census counted about 2,800 homes.
In the 1960s the old Stafford farm was sold and the Laurel Mill Farms and Stratford Estates developments were built, with Laurel Mill Farms along the North Branch of Big Timber Creek. Houses from that era often still have original windows, baths, and electrical panels. We buy 1960s homes as they are, without repair requests.
Stratford has two soil types, sands and the greens and marl, and the borough's own history notes that the marl under the Tomlinson Mansion continues to settle. Settling soils and land near Big Timber Creek can mean foundation cracks or wet basements that stall a financed sale. We buy homes with these issues for cash.
Rowan-Virtua's osteopathic medical school and a Rutgers health sciences campus are both in Stratford, and NJ Transit buses 403 and 459 serve the area. If you own a rental near Laurel Road, selling with tenants in place can be easier with a cash buyer. We buy occupied rentals and honor existing leases.

Questions from Stratford sellers
Yes. We buy houses with water and foundation issues as-is and take on the repair work ourselves after closing.
No. We make a cash offer on the house in its current condition, so you can skip new kitchens, baths, or systems.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
