North Wildwood, Cape May County
North Wildwood is at the northern end of the island it shares with Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, next to Hereford Inlet and its lighthouse. It borders Wildwood and Middle Township, with West Wildwood across the back bay and Stone Harbor across the inlet. Route 147 links it to the Garden State Parkway. Incorporated in 1885 as Anglesea, it took the North Wildwood name in 1906. The 2020 census counted about 3,600 residents and nearly 9,000 housing units, about 79 percent of them listed as vacant.
North Wildwood has spent years in a dispute with the state over its eroding beach. In 2024 the NJDEP denied a new emergency bulkhead, the state fined the city $12 million for unauthorized repairs, and the city sued to recover about $30 million it spent trucking in sand. Buyers near the beach ask about this. We buy regardless of how the case turns out.
A city ordinance requires low bayfront bulkheads to be raised, with a target of 8 feet above NAVD 88 by 2030. New construction or major renovation needs a compliant bulkhead right away. That can cost tens of thousands of dollars, especially for older cottages with low walls. We buy bayfront homes without requiring you to rebuild the bulkhead first.
During Sandy, water breached the sea wall in the Anglesea section and many homes flooded. Owners put soaked carpets and belongings out at the curb. Flood history still comes up in inspections and insurance quotes. We buy homes with past water damage as they are today, whether or not the repairs were finished.

Yes. We buy seasonal rentals as-is and can set the closing date around bookings you've already accepted.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
