River Edge, Bergen County
River Edge is a borough of about 12,000 people on the west bank of the Hackensack River, bordered by Hackensack, New Milford, Oradell, Paramus, and Teaneck. Route 4 runs along its southern edge and Kinderkamack Road runs north-south beside the river. It has two stations on NJ Transit's Pascack Valley Line, River Edge at the north end and New Bridge Landing at the south. Housing is mostly owner-occupied homes on a little under two square miles, with Van Saun County Park shared with Paramus.
The south end of River Edge holds Historic New Bridge Landing, where Washington's army crossed the Hackensack River in November 1776, along with the Steuben House and the Demarest House. Homes near the river and Kinderkamack Road sit on low ground by the water. We buy houses in any condition for cash, without inspections or repair requests.
River Edge was incorporated in 1894 as the borough of Riverside, carved out of Midland Township, and took the name River Edge in 1930. Older deeds and records can carry the earlier name, which sometimes adds a step for title work. We work with the title company to sort out records like these as part of closing.
River Edge station and New Bridge Landing station both run to Hoboken with connections at Secaucus Junction, and Route 4 is the main highway. That access draws buyers, but many need a house ready to move into. We buy houses that need updating or a full clean-out, on your timeline.

Questions from River Edge sellers
Yes. We regularly work with executors and heirs, buy the house as-is with belongings inside, and can time the closing around the estate's paperwork.
No. We make a cash offer on the house as it stands and handle any repairs ourselves after closing.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
