Riverton, Burlington County
Riverton is a borough of under one square mile on the Delaware River, bordered by Cinnaminson and Palmyra, with Philadelphia across the water. Laid out in 1851 by Philadelphia architect Samuel Sloan, it is often described as one of the first fully planned residential subdivisions in the country. The entire borough is a National Register historic district, with sidewalks, gas lamps, and Victorian houses. The River Line stops on Main Street, and about 2,800 people live here.
The Riverton Historic District, listed in 1999, covers the whole 80-acre borough and includes 371 contributing buildings. Victorian houses this old often keep original features alongside outdated wiring, plumbing, and heating. We buy Riverton homes as-is, so you do not need to restore or modernize them before selling.
Ten founders bought 120 acres and formed the Riverton Improvement Company to build the community, and Samuel Sloan designed early homes such as 503 Bank Avenue. Original 1850s houses can have structural quirks that call for specialized contractors and stretch out a retail sale. We take on that work ourselves when we buy.
Riverton sits on the Delaware and is home to the Riverton Yacht Club, one of the oldest active yacht clubs in the country. Water makes up nearly a third of the borough's area. Lots near the river can bring flood-zone questions from lenders; we buy for cash without that hurdle.

Yes. You can take what you want and leave the rest; we handle the clean-out after closing.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
