Stow Creek, Cumberland County
Stow Creek Township is a farming township of about 1,300 residents on the western edge of Cumberland County, named for the Stow Creek tributary of the Delaware River. It borders Hopewell, Greenwich, Shiloh, and three Salem County towns: Alloway, Lower Alloways Creek, and Quinton. Route 49 is the main highway. Its places include Jericho, Roadstown, Arrowhead Lake, and Stow Creek Landing. Housing is mostly farmhouses and single-family homes on rural lots, many served by private wells and septic systems.
State records show 28 Stow Creek farms preserved through the farmland program, covering about 1,770 acres. Homes on or near farm parcels often have outbuildings, older wells, and septic systems. Testing and repairs can stall a financed sale. We buy without those conditions.
The township shares its name with Stow Creek, a tributary of the Delaware River, and includes a place called Stow Creek Landing. Homes on lower ground near the creek can raise flood-insurance questions for buyers using a mortgage. A cash sale is not held up by them.
Stow Creek was one of six precincts formed when Cumberland County was created in 1748. The spelling changed from Stoe Creek in 1924, and land went to form Shiloh in 1929. Older deeds may show the earlier name or boundaries, which can slow title work. We work through that as part of buying.

Questions from Stow Creek sellers
Yes. We buy rural homes with outbuildings as-is, and you do not need to clear them out.
Many Stow Creek homes use the 08302 Bridgeton ZIP code even though they are in the township. We buy based on the actual property, whatever the mailing address.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
