Tabernacle, Burlington County
Tabernacle Township covers about 50 square miles of the Pine Barrens and lies entirely in the state-designated Pinelands Area. It borders Medford, Shamong, Southampton, Washington, and Woodland townships. U.S. 206 runs through the west and County Route 532 through the center, and the township has only two traffic lights. It takes its name from John Brainerd's 1778 "Tabernacle in the Wilderness" church, and Apple Pie Hill, the highest point in the Pine Barrens, and the Carranza Memorial are both here.
Because all of Tabernacle is in the Pinelands Area, septic systems must meet Pinelands Commission nitrogen standards, with one acre the minimum lot for an onsite system and advanced treatment units used on lots under 3.2 acres. If your system is failing, we buy the house without requiring a replacement first.
Tabernacle grew from about 2,100 residents in 1970 to about 6,200 in 1980 and roughly 7,360 in 1990, so much of its housing dates from that period. Houses from those decades are now due for roofs, heating systems, and septic work. We buy them in their current condition.
Tabernacle has no single downtown; its localities include Friendship, Sooy Place, Speedwell, Hampton Gate, and White Horse Station, and the 2010 census counted about 2,450 homes over 49 square miles. Rural properties often come with outbuildings and acreage to maintain. We buy them without asking you to clean up first.

Questions from Tabernacle sellers
Not to us. We buy homes with failed or outdated septic systems as-is, so you do not have to install a Pinelands-compliant system before closing.
Yes. We buy rural homes on larger lots, including properties with outbuildings or items left behind.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
Yes. We're a New Jersey company based in Toms River, and we buy in all 21 counties, including Burlington County. We are BBB accredited with an A+ rating, listed under our affiliate Gembrook Properties.
