Medford, Burlington County
Medford Township covers about 40 square miles on the edge of the Pine Barrens, bordering Evesham, Mount Laurel, Lumberton, Southampton, Tabernacle, Shamong, and Waterford in Camden County. It completely surrounds the separate borough of Medford Lakes. About 24,500 people live here. Formed from Evesham in 1847, Medford grew around mills and a glass industry that lasted until about 1925. Named places include Birchwood Lakes, Taunton Lake, Kirbys Mill, Fairview, and Chairville. Route 70 and County Routes 532, 541, and 544 are the main roads.
Medford is one of 56 towns in the Pinelands National Reserve, and part of the township lies in the state Pinelands Area, where land use is more tightly controlled. Additions, new buildings, and lot changes there face Pinelands review. We buy homes in the Pinelands section as they are and take on those questions ourselves.
Nearly 30 glass-factory workers' homes survive on Trimble and Mill Streets, along with the owners' house and company store on South Main Street. Kirby's Mill, a grist mill, is on the National Register. Older village houses often need system and structural updates. We buy them without asking you to make repairs.
Lake sections such as Birchwood Lakes and Taunton Lake add another layer to a sale when a house belongs to a club or association that maintains the lake, beaches, or dam. Buyers often want dues and dam records before they commit. We buy lake-area homes as-is and work through the association steps at closing.

Questions from Medford sellers

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
