Wood-Ridge, Bergen County
Wood-Ridge is a borough of about 10,100 people on just over one square mile in southern Bergen County, bordered by Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi, Wallington, Carlstadt, Moonachie, and South Hackensack. Route 17 passes near the Wood-Ridge station on the Pascack Valley Line, and Wesmont station on the Bergen County Line opened in 2016. The population grew by about a third between 2010 and 2020, largely from the Wesmont Station redevelopment on part of the former Curtiss-Wright aircraft plant.
Part of the former Curtiss-Wright aircraft plant became a 70-acre transit village approved for nearly 1,200 homes, including townhomes and a 406-unit rental complex. Sellers of older Wood-Ridge homes now compete with new construction for retail buyers. We buy older houses as-is for cash.
Wood-Ridge has stations on two NJ Transit lines: Wood-Ridge station on the Pascack Valley Line and Wesmont on the Bergen County Line, both reaching Hoboken via Secaucus Junction. Rail access helps, but not for a house needing major repairs. We make offers on those houses as they are.
Wood-Ridge was incorporated in 1894 from parts of Bergen Township during the wave that created 26 Bergen County boroughs that year. Much of its housing predates the Wesmont development, and older houses can come with dated systems, worn roofs, or repairs that buyers' inspectors flag. We buy those homes without inspections or repair requests.

Questions from Wood-Ridge sellers
Buyers comparing against new townhomes may expect updates. We buy older houses as-is for cash, so you don't need to renovate to compete.
Yes. We pay cash and can often close within a few weeks.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
Yes. We're a New Jersey company based in Toms River, and we buy in all 21 counties, including Bergen County. We are BBB accredited with an A+ rating, listed under our affiliate Gembrook Properties.
