East Hanover, Morris County
East Hanover is a township of about 11,100 residents in eastern Morris County, set between the Passaic and Whippany rivers, which form its boundaries. It borders Florham Park, Hanover, Montville, and Parsippany-Troy Hills, plus Fairfield, Livingston, Roseland, and West Caldwell in Essex County. Route 10 and Ridgedale Avenue are its main roads; I-280 crosses the township without an exit. Mondelez International and Novartis have North American headquarters here.
During a September 2021 storm, the township reported the Passaic and Whippany rivers overflowing their banks, with Eagle Rock Avenue, River Road, and Troy Road closed and Stymus Lane, Balsam Road, and Callahan Street beginning to flood. Homes near the rivers can face flood-insurance and inspection questions. We buy them as-is.
East Hanover was incorporated in 1928 from part of Hanover Township, and place names like Hanover Neck and Cooks Bridge come from that older township. Because the two share a name, deeds and tax records sometimes get confused. We verify the correct municipality and lot before making an offer.
With Mondelez and Novartis headquarters in town and Route 10 and I-280 nearby, East Hanover draws steady buyer interest, but retail buyers expect move-in condition. If your house needs updating or an estate clean-out, we buy it as it is and close on your schedule.

Questions from East Hanover sellers
Yes. We buy East Hanover homes with flood history as-is for cash, without requiring repairs or elevation work.
No. East Hanover has been its own township since 1928, with a separate tax office. We confirm which one your property is in from the deed and tax records.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
