Fort Lee, Bergen County
Fort Lee is a borough of about 40,200 people on top of the Palisades at the New Jersey end of the George Washington Bridge. It borders Cliffside Park, Edgewater, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Leonia, Palisades Park, and Ridgefield, with Washington Heights across the Hudson. It was formed in 1904 from the remains of Ridgefield Township and was an early center of the film industry. High-rises line the Palisade Avenue and Boulevard East corridor, while Coytesville, Linwood, Palisade, and Taylorville are older sections. There are about 19,900 housing units.
Residential high-rises have gone up along Palisade Avenue and Boulevard East since the 1960s. The Colony at 1530 Palisade Avenue, for example, is a 32-floor, 510-unit co-op built in 1973. Co-op sales go through the building's own approval process, which can slow a sale. Ask us about your building and we'll tell you honestly whether we can buy.
Away from the towers, Fort Lee keeps older place names such as Coytesville, Linwood, Palisade, and Taylorville. When a house in one of these sections has been in a family for years and passes to heirs, the estate still has to manage it. We can buy it with its contents and work with the estate's attorney.
The George Washington Bridge, which opened in 1931, is described as the world's busiest motor vehicle bridge, and Route 4, Route 46, I-95, and the Palisades Interstate Parkway converge near its plaza. Houses close to the approaches deal with traffic and noise that some buyers won't accept. We buy them for cash, as-is.

Questions from Fort Lee sellers
It depends on the building's rules. Send us the building and unit and we'll tell you directly whether we can make an offer.
Yes. We account for traffic and noise in our price and buy the house as-is.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
Yes. We're a New Jersey company based in Toms River, and we buy in all 21 counties, including Bergen County. We are BBB accredited with an A+ rating, listed under our affiliate Gembrook Properties.
