Ridgefield, Bergen County
Ridgefield is a borough of about 11,500 people in southern Bergen County, where the Palisades slope down into the Meadowlands. It borders Fairview, Fort Lee, Palisades Park, Ridgefield Park, Little Ferry, Carlstadt, Cliffside Park, South Hackensack, and North Bergen in Hudson County. The New Jersey Turnpike, Route 46, US 1/9, and Route 93 all pass through. Residents informally split the borough into three sections: Ridgefield in the valley and on the first hill, Morsemere to the north, and Ridgefield Heights on the second hill to the east.
Ridgefield runs from Ridgefield Heights on the eastern hill down to low ground in the Hackensack River flood plain. Skeetkill Creek Marsh and other low areas are set aside as nature reserves linked to Overpeck County Park. Homes on the low side can raise flood-zone and insurance questions for a buyer's lender. We buy for cash, so a lender's flood requirements don't hold up the sale.
Grantwood, an artists' colony founded in 1913 that straddles the Cliffside Park line, still has streets named Sketch Place and Studio Road. Morsemere, the northern section, was named by a real estate company for Samuel F. B. Morse. Whichever section your house is in, we make a cash offer on it as it stands, without asking you to repair or update it first.
The New Jersey Turnpike's original northern end was an interchange with Route 46 in Ridgefield, completed in 1952, and the Vince Lombardi Service Area sits on the Turnpike here. Houses close to these roads can draw fewer retail buyers and longer listings. We look at the house itself and can close on the date that works for you.

Questions from Ridgefield sellers
It can slow a sale that depends on a mortgage, because lenders may require flood insurance. We pay cash, so there is no lender requirement, and we buy the house as it is.
Yes. We buy as-is, so you don't need to clean out or repair the house, and we can work with the executor or administrator on timing once they have authority to sell.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
Yes. We're a New Jersey company based in Toms River, and we buy in all 21 counties, including Bergen County. We are BBB accredited with an A+ rating, listed under our affiliate Gembrook Properties.
